Guy Collins, CFP®, Vice President, Executive Benefits

Guy Collins consults with clients throughout the country. Guy develops custom programs for institutions that align the interests of both the organization and the executive. Guy has nearly 20 years of executive compensation and benefit consulting experience with businesses and institutions of varying sizes ranging from 50 employees to more than 25,000. His areas of expertise include qualified plans, nonqualified plans, life, and disability.

Guy received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Lake Forest College in Illinois. He holds a Certified Financial Planner designation, and life and disability insurance licenses as well as FINRA Series 7, 63, and 26 licenses.

Guy is a frequent speaker at industry events. He recently presented “Executive Benefits: Getting Started” for the Greater Southern Council of the Credit Union Executives Society. He also shared his expertise in “Executive Benefits: Plan Overview and Strategies” and “Executive Benefits: The Dos and Don’ts of Vendor Selection” for the National Association of Federal Credit Unions. Guy, his wife, and two children reside in the Dallas, Texas area. In his spare time, Guy chases muskie in freshwater across the country.


TJ Telford, Vice President, Executive Benefits

TJ Telford’s career is focused on the financial services industry, with more than 15 years of experience in consulting to consumers, executives, and boards. TJ’s areas of expertise include nonqualified executive benefits, deferred compensation, institutional asset management, and benefit liability management. He consults with executives and boards on best practices for attracting, retaining, and rewarding key leadership.

As a senior consultant at Gallagher Executive Benefits, TJ customizes benefit plans to meet the goals of both the executive and the board. His experience working with regional examiners – what they are looking for each plan type – adds to his focus on regulatory compliance. TJ is also a popular national speaker. He recently presented “Recruiting and Retaining Your A-Team” at the 2017 Association of Chief Executives for Sport Conference and “Executive Benefits: When Is Enough, Enough?” at the 2016 Directors and CEOs Leadership Convention.

TJ’s “work hard, play hard” philosophy is evident in his high level of commitment and service to his clients and his family’s great love of the outdoors. TJ and his wife Stacey have four children who are active in golf, hockey, basketball, and dance.  His two sons are following in his footsteps in becoming avid competitive golfers. As a family, they can frequently be found on the ski slopes. TJ is based in Gallagher Executive Benefits’ corporate office in South Ogden, Utah.
